Taking Care of a Puppy
Before deciding to have a puppy as a pet, it is best to do a bit research about how to take care of a puppy. Since you will be the only provider for the social, nutritional and health related requirement of your pet puppy, therefore, caring for a puppy involves several responsibilities. Here, we will discuss some of them to give you an idea about taking care of your puppy.
Puppies need quite different care than an adult dog. This is because they are still in their learning stage, therefore they need special attention. Your job is to encourage your puppy to interact with their surroundings, and be open to new situations or environments. This process is called socialization.
Socialization is a very vital part of training of a puppy. It includes the exposure of your puppy to as many new things as possible, and eventually it sets the foundation for future dog training. It is quite easy to take care for well socialized puppies as they show better behavior as compared to puppies that are not socialized.
In addition, it is very important to feed your puppy a special food, which is especially formulated for puppies, for at least their first year. Remember that growing puppies have totally different dietary requirements as compared to adult dogs. Therefore, they should be fed accordingly.
Also, take your pet puppy to your veterinarian at least once a month for complete medical check up. This will help in ensuring that your puppy is in good health and doing just fine.
